O2 have teamed up with digital communications agency Isobar for an event called ‘Isobar Create London’. The event is designed to accelerate NFC application development and technology via competition and is to be held at Shoreditch Studios in East London on March 24th and 25th. Participants will have to pitch their apps to a panel of judges and the winner will be announced on Sunday; the winner will receive expert advice, funding to help kick start their ideas and a NFC enabled poster in central London for advertising their finnished application on the market.
Dom O’Brien, the head of innovation at Isobar said ”Isobar Create London is an open event for the best developers and designers to come together to accelerate knowledge and understanding of how NFC will impact sporting events and the leisure and retail industries.” O2′s head of NFC Neil Rutter added “We are really excited about the possibilities that contact-less offers.
