This year the World Expo 2012 is in Korea and not surprisingly as already 5million Koreans have NFC enabled mobile phones, NFC technology promises to be featured quite heavily. Arriving at the expo you will need to park, along with an estimate 100 thousand people per day, so the expo will feature a NFC smart parking feature that will help users find their cars in the massive garages with just a touch of a screen. Once you have parked you will find a NFC ticket entrance system and a fast track lane specifically for NFC users.
Once in the expo smart NFC payment apps will allow people to order food and drink from their table, bypassing the need to wait in line or queue. There will be an NFC wall creating a virtual store based on NFC tags that will allow people to order products with a tap of their mobile phone and there will be NFC tags attached to each display in the exhibitioner’s halls giving related information and audio guides.
There will be lots of other NFC technology in use during the World Expo to make the experiences as safe and convenient as possible from NFC maps to NFC tags for children that hold their guardians information should they become separated or lost.
